Had my wheels rotated and afterward my ABS light was on. Also my ignition switch was broken. Took car to AAMCO for evaluation, found codes below but unable to decipher.

Performed IVC retrieved ABS Codes Found:

22 front L inlet valve
23 front L outlet valve
25 front R outlet valve
26 rear axle inlet valve
27 rear axle outlet valve

Took car to auto shop, now want $265.00 and did not check ABS. Instead said they found small oil leak which leaked on hose and needed replacement. Very dissatisfied and don't know what to do about this issue. Shop refuses to release car without full payment.

Good afternoon,

First, i would the light out now? It is a good possibility that the oil leak may have been dripping on the connector for the ABS causing the codes.

What did they tell you about the light?

No the ABS light is still on. I have the truck parked at home now. Not driving it in case the brakes stop working again. Would still like to know what these codes mean.

Performed IVC retrieved ABS Codes Found:

22 front L inlet valve
23 front L outlet valve
25 front R outlet valve
26 rear axle inlet valve
27 rear axle outlet valve

Thank you ~

Those codes are for the internals of the ABS module itself. They are not working or have no power.

I attached 2 diagrams for you.

The one shows power and ground to the module. Check those wires. If you have power and ground the ABS module is bad.

If you do not have power, check the fuse I circled for power on both sides with the key on.

Thank Roy for your quick response and help!

So you know, I am not a mechanic, but I will ask my neighbor whom I see working on his cars and perhaps he will know where to look according to diagram.

At very least, I can go to a new mechanic and not be talked over in circles since I have the knowledge you have provided.

Thank you,
Juliette
