All ABS and brake related lights on, scanner shows front two reading zero.
No DSC codes.
Changed front bearing and sensor on left then rechecked, the front right was working. Changed the front right sensor, both fronts are showing 0.
I am guessing it maybe the ABS module.
What is involved in having it programmed?

Hello,

What codes are you currently getting for the ABS?

Let me know the codes and I can see what diagnostics can be done to find out the issue.

In order to program the ABS module, the vehicle needs to be connected to a specialized BMW scanner that can communicate with the module (see description below).

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Well, how do shops code them? I am sure all or most independent shops that work on BMWs have a way. I will get the codes, but basically saying rear left and front right, but rears speed work.

If you use an ABS scanner it will provide you with the specific code number.
The reason it is important to have the exact number is, many times the code will point to a sensor or wiring issue. Which will make it easier to diagnose.

If you are talking about programming the module, those are typically done at the dealership or shops that typically work on Euro vehicles.

Took it to the dealer after giving up on it. I thought they could tell right away. But even they are not 100% sure what the issue is. They said front sensor asks for 2 different types, so they want to try that first then see if it's the dcs u it. I told them you want me to spend $600.00 for two sensors and then you tell me if it's the dsc unit? Why can't you slap one on there to see and if it fixed it then great if not then don't charge me for it, that is the whole reason why i brought it so i won't be guessing. They are going to do that first. They don't even have that sensor in stock. I also asked them if an alignment could throw these codes out as i read that somewhere. They say a control arm is bent on rear and a toe rod is frozen, so that may be possible.

I see from the diagnostics that they think the sensor could be incorrect due to aftermarket component. Which could have different parameters and triggering the light.

Did they happen to tell you what codes the vehicle is producing for the ABS? If I know the code number I can check for available diagnostics.

Took it to the dealer, they diagnosed it as a possible ABS sensor as they make 2 as you stated, but i changed them with an OEM ones and couldn't fix it. So, they installed one and it fixed one side, they installed another, and it fixed both. Also found a frozen tie rod and a bent rear control arm, so they changing all of that and then an alignment.

Appreciate you sharing the information with us.
It is likely that they had to reset the system that is why it worked when they changed it.
