After replacing all four tires the ABS activates turning left and braking

Since I need one for the future anyways, I am picking up an OBD reader which can read live wheel speed sensor data. Should be able to pick up if one isn't reading right. Found no obvious problems that could be causing it.

Is your ABS light illuminated on the dash?

If the light is on, then you should be able to scan and retrieve the ABS codes with the proper scanner.
That should be able to tell you if this is a sensor issue or module issue.

There is no reason for the ABS to have issues after the tire change. Unless something got knocked off.

Yes, it comes on when turning.

See if you can get it scanned and retrieve the code(s). If you don't have that type of scanner, sometimes those local auto parts stores will have ABS capable scanners.
The code can point to the issue.
It is interesting that this only happens in a turn. I wonder if the rings that the ABS reads might be the issue.

Code is C1155-20: Left front wheel speed sensor input circuit failure. I went ahead and pulled the ABS pump fuse so it doesn't kick on without me wanting it on for the time being until the weather clears up so I can fix it. I'll make sure to inspect the ring for missing teeth etc., too since it is odd that it only does it turning.

The code C1150 can get triggered due to an open or short circuit, bad wheel speed sensor or even faulty ABS module.

I have attached the troubleshooting steps for this code below.
Follow those steps and that should help you determine the issue.

I doubt welding did it, but I was extracting a broken sway bar bushing bolt with a flux core welder on the same side as the error I believe I did feel a tingle from the brake disc as I was doing it. Again though, everything was grounded as well as possible. Could a welder be enough to fry the sensor?

It can in the right scenario. I have not seen one happen before, but it could be possible.

The insulation for the speed sensor wiring is pretty chewed up and weathered. I'll get back to you when I find time to replace it. Thank you.

Did a test with a scanner. Sensor only reads 0 when turning. I'll look at the rings when replacing the sensor.

So, when you turn it is probably losing signal/connection due to worn wire. It might not be the ring as that stays constant unless there is some excess movement.
