The A/C and heat works but only through the defrost?

One day I turned my defrost on and now I can't get air to blow from my vents. I can turn the knob, but it does not change the direction the vents blew.

Hi,

It sounds like you have a faulty mode door actuator. The mode door is what is responsible for airflow direction.

If you look at the attachments below, I included the directions to replace the actuator. Use the directions to remove it first. Once it is removed, see if it responds when you request it to change airflow direction.
