A/C short cycling only when it is hot outside

A/C is fully charged and works when it's in the 70s outside, but when it's 80+, it starts short cycling. The air is perfect when it works. It has the automatic A/C. Need help desperately.

You say the system is fully charged. May I ask how you know? Did you or someone else just recharge it? Did this issue start after that?

It was checked with gauges. Had it checked again yesterday and pressure was too high on the high side. Released some Freon and it seems okay for now.

That was where I was going. Too much gas will short cycle when its hot out. Good luck and thanks for using 2CarPros!
