Hi,

To replace the evaporator core, you will need to first remove the HVAC housing from under the dash. Once it is removed, then you will be able to access the evaporator.

I attached the directions below for you. I started with the removal procedures and then the evaporator removal.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe

Hello Joe,

Thanks a lot for this info.

Just to clarify, do I need to remove the "entire dashboard" to access the HVAC housing?

Thanks and best regards.

Hi,

According to the manual, yes. However, when I do this type of work, I remove or loosen what is needed to perform the job.

Take a look below. I attached the directions for replacing the instrument panel. Please understand, the directions specifically indicate to remove it. However, take your time and loosen the retainers that will allow you the room to replace the evaporator. You are not replacing it, but these are the directions I have to use.

It is hard for me to tell you exactly what to do because I'm not there. However, if you take your time, you should be okay. If you run into trouble, let me know. I truly don't mind helping.

Take care and let me know how things turn out for you.
