Until I replaced alternator, and the OSS sensor. Automatic EATC air conditioner blew cold air. I Did disconnect the battery to complete repair. Now A/C not blowing cold air. It is as if the blend door is not working properly now. Is there a way to reset memory for EATC? What was your procedure for leaving the key on and pulling the fuse to reset the system? Or procedure for pushing on A/C control buttons to erase code? Will OBD II scanner pickup this fault? Please explain. Freon level is okay. Compressor functioning properly. Checked all fuses and electrical connectors, they all seem to be plugged in. Pushing the various buttons on control panel direct air where located. DOHC engine. Does have auto temperature controls. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.
Update: I got on Mitchell's online to learn how to put EATC in self diagnostic mode. Initial codes were: 051,053-sunload temperature sensor open. And 125--do not know what that is? Mitchell's states that sunload temperature sensor is around instrument cluster, where? Is the sunload temperature sensor the same as the solar amplifier? If so is this thing located in the middle of the dash under windshield? If so can you give me removal procedures? I covered that sensor up and reran the self diagnostic and it only showed (051) sunload temperature sensor. Since I changed the output speed sensor, could this have messed with the A/C? Could this have messed with the sunload temperature sensor? Is there some kind of reset for the OSS since it and the alternator were the only electronic components changed? OBD scanner showed no trouble codes. Would the sunload temperature sensor affect the ability of the blend door activation? Any help and comments appreciated.
