A/C on it starts to shake and it drives really rough and eventually overheats

I am concerned about running rough. You have misfires going on for some reason and when you add the load of the A/C, it overheats. That tells me you may have a failing or failed head gasket.

If the car overheats, the A/C system will not work correctly as the hot engine will not allow cold air.
