Reset security light still will not stay started

Is the security light on solid or flashing with the key in the run position?

It was on solid but we unhooked the battery for fifteen minutes and it went off. it still comes on when you start the car but goes right off . I was told it could be some kind of module I also was told we could take the security system out completely, but cannot find the box that is supposedly under the dash in between the stirring column and the ashtray.

When it won't start does it crank and won't start or no crank no start?
