Will not start

I went to a friends home and turned off my car but wen I was leaving I didn’t start just make a noise like Canna squeaky.. so far I put a new starter , fuel filter , fuel pump but it’s the same. By curiosity I open the timing belt cover and my friend turn the switch and the belt didn’t spin. I love my car please if some one knows what I can do I will appreciate the help.

Hello,

Unfortunately this sounds like your vehicle's engine has had a timing belt failure. The engine in your vehicle is an interference engine, which means if the correct piston and valve timing is not maintained, extensive engine damage will occur in the way of bent valves, and possibly bent connecting rods and punctured pistons. I have included a statement from the vehicle manufacturer in the diagrams down below for you. Whenever an engine turns over the timing belt will rotate to keep the valves and pistons timed up on a healthy engine. Please go through the statement and keep us informed as to how things are progressing or what you are going to do.
