I have an issue with keeping fuel to the engine with this truck. It used to run fine but one day it would not stay running. After messing with it I found that it would only start once I put some fuel in the carburetor. Once going it ran fine, but I had to keep the gas peddle down a bit and the idle up. As soon as I let off the idle it would die.

I figured it was a fuel filter so I replaced it. Now it will not run at all unless I keep putting fuel into the carburetor. I put fuel in it and when started I have to keep putting small amounts in at a time to keep it running. I did this over and over and ran it for several minutes, but as soon as I stop pouring the gas in it quits. I would think the new filter is full of gas after running it so long so now I am stumped.

Any help what I should do next would be appreciated. Thank you.

check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it . you may need an adapter if tbi then pressure should be9-11 psi.
