87 dodge omni keeps killing alternator, I have put 4 on so far.

I have a 87 omni I have replaced the alternator and regulator 4 times now, is there something grounding in the circuit or is it just possible that all 4 alternators are just defective. I have removed all fuses and used a test light between the ground post on the battery and the ground cable to the car and the light comes on as if someting is still completing the circuit. Any ideas your feedback helps, Thank you.

it could be defective alternators but cold be something else as well check for abad battery cables touching the body someplace. check everything I've pointed out in pic it could also be a bad regulator as well.

Ok Thank you I will clean all grounds and check fuseable links, so far I have done 4 regulators and 4 alternators. On the alternator, one feild (green) wire has zero volts and the other (green) has 12v, the main power wire is the same. I have unhooked the batter wire from the alternator and from the battery checked the wire from the battery to the alternator, and the wire has a good conection. I am goin to have the alternator tested, then make sure everthing is good so it dosent burn up a new alternator.

I fyou look at the schematic the green wire that goes to voltage reg and ignition switch should also have 12 volts with the key on. if not there is either a short in that wireor maybe a bad ignition switch or broken wire.
