60 amp fuse

Why would the battery terminal on the alternator ground out and keeps blowing my 60 amp fuse ? we have checked wire harness all the wires for damage .tried a new alternator . Please help we don't know what to do and don't have anything more to write about so will just keep on writing telI have enough to send it.

Check the fuseable link wire near positive battery terminal .

Correction im sorry , its the small wire on the negative terminal. If you came get you hand on a manual youll be able to find it and test it for an open circuit .

Make sure you disconnect the battery while testing. Also check make sure you have good engine ground.

no wires connected to alternator only bolted up and positive post acts as if it is grounded according to test light.

Disconnect both poss. And neg. At the battery .then connect alt. Than connect poss. Side battery cable to battery than connect neg side battery. But first I would had alt test at any part store to make sure it is in good condition and module in alt isn't damaged. Thank you.
