4wd system not working

My 4wd doesn't work. I wanted to know if the 4wd is activated by vacuum lines, electronically, or just by putting lever in 4low or 4hi? Trying to pinpoint why 4wd doesn't work.

This is a completely mechanical system worked by the 4WD lever only. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on? that would be great. You can upload it here with your response.

Great, at leased I know I don't have a vacuum issue. I can concern myself by weeding out working parts, then narrowing it down. Thank you.
