Hi,
I bought the vehicle listed above (gasoline) five months back with a 60,000 KM total mileage. It gives whining sound at the speed of forty to fifty kmph from the beginning, only during de-acceleration/coasting. even if slight gas is applied it goes away. Nothing happens until forty kmph or over fifty kmph. It is same in neutral or even the engine is off. Checked wheel bearings, brakes but nothing found. Changed the differential oil also. CVT oil found in good condition. Local workshops found it very complex problem after they removed the large drive shaft which connects the front-rear differential and drove it with front wheels only, and telling it is a problem from transmission. Would appreciate your valuable advice in this regard.

Hello,

IT sounds like you may have a carrier bearing out. As you can tell noises are difficult over the internet unless you can make a quick video and upload it here.

Then I will know for sure what the problem is.

Hi Ken

Thanks for your kind response.

One workshop here in Bangladesh has removed the large drive shaft which connects the front to rear but still the sound was there during test driving. After this diagnosis is there still a Chance of carrier bearing or rear differential pinion bearing failure? However, I’ll try to catch the sound on video although it’s too low to catch within the speed of 40-50 kmph (de-acceleration/ coasting) only. Still will try and keep u posted.

Regards
Shafiq
