Without hazards on the button clicks like crazy. I've heard cleaning the connections works or what a buddy had to replace was the relay. Could this be my issue?

Hi,

Do the hazard lights work when you turn them on? As far as your question of possible causes, could simply be a loose connection. On the other hand, the switch itself may be bad.

What I suggest is this. We need to check the connector on the switch itself. You can do this without the removal of the switch, but it would be better if you could remove it and inspect all connections.

If you look below, I provided the directions for the removal and replacement of the switch. Before actually removing it, check for a loose connection. Push in on the connector when the switch is clicking to see if that stops it. If it doesn't, the switch is likely bad internally. If the problem was related to the flasher, I suspect there would be issues with the turn signals as well.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
