"Front Left Malfunction Service Required", along with the seat belt symbol, is constantly displayed on my instrument panel. This is displayed whether the seat belt is buckled or not. I turned the ignition switch on and got out of the car and the message was still displayed. I checked the codes but there were "0" codes. Any suggestions?

This code scan will need to be a CAN (controller area network) scan not a normal powertrain. Fortunately, it is easy to do check out this guide and video:

It could be the seat belt symbols come on because of the left front warning, you could have a front SAM that is out which is common on these cars. I would think you have a front left strut that needs replacement. Here are the instructions so you can see what needs to be done.

I was told by another mechanic that it has to do with the SRS system, air bags, seat belt, and related sensors?

It does and these are controlled by the front SAM unit.

I used a iCarsoft i980 scanner and pulled code 9B02. I cleared it and so far there has not been a problem.
