2nd Gear Grind

99 Honda prelude SH. Installed new shift linkage after the line broke. Every gear works except for 2nd. At times it grinds and does not stay in that gear.

Make that gear 2 and four do not work

make sue that the cables are adjusted correctly and all parts are on it. i'm sending pic and the select cable is the one for gears. see if it will go into gear without shifter connected. it may be just an adjustment kinda sounds like it. also are both cables the same? you may have them installed in the wrong position
