No crank no start issue

This sounds like the starter is the issue. If the vehicle starts and runs by bumping it or popping the clutch then that normally points to the starter.

Unfortunately we don't have a manual on this vehicle so we can't give detail from the manual itself but if it were me, I would replace the starter and retest. Please let us know if you have other questions. Thanks

Many thanks, but on seeing my post it states it bump starts intermittently; meant immediately... I haven't checked the leads to the starter yet. I'll do that prior to purchasing a new one.

I am not sure we are calling this the same thing. When you say it bump starts, I take that to mean you put it in gear and get it rolling with the key in the on position and then let the clutch out. If this is the case and it starts then that is a starter issue which is what I am thinking the issue is.

Basically all you are doing is using the clutch and fly wheel to turn the engine which is what the starter is supposed to do in order to get it to run. So the only thing at that point that is not working is the starter.

Not sure if this is right but been told there is a 20 amp fuse under bonnet fuse box that covers starter solenoid? If so where is it as I cannot find a fuse diagram with labelling?

Unfortunately we don't have a manual on this vehicle as it was not offered in the USA but you mentioned you were hearing a click when you turn the key.

This is most likely the solenoid on the starter that is clicking. If that is the case then you are getting power to the starter which means any fuse or relay is operating.

What I would do is lay on the ground or access the starter and just put your hand on the side of it safely. Then have someone turn the key. If you feel a click in the starter then the entire system is working but the starter is the issue and needs to be changed.

I am pretty confident based on this info that the starter is the issue but if you want to confirm it this is the easiest way. Otherwise you are going to have to check voltage at the starter when cranking to confirm you have proper voltage.
