Engine shuts off while sitting a stop light?

There are several reasons this can happen.
So, after the engine shut off, were you able to start it back up?
Did you have to get a jump?

No, it will just start back up as soon as it shuts off. Check engine light is on but in need of an oil change. Checked all the hoses looked good. Would bad gas be the problem because I refilled it and it's not acting up as bad. Got me??

Thanks for all your help and your advice the last couple of days. it ended up being my oil cap, so I replaced it today and it runs great every time I take the oil cap off it starts to cut out so that's what it.

I did not know AutoZone parts store would read your car with their code reader for free and print out all the codes wasn't that awesome. Trying to figure out how I was going to get that done but it ended up on a very positive note I'm 64-year-old widow woman that lives in a small town that had no one else around and you showed up, so you and AutoZone I give high kudos to. thank you very much.
