I have a new 2014 Wrangler.I hear a slight humming noise when depressing the clutch when shifting gears but only if I still leave my foot slightly on the gas pedal. If I release the gas pedal completely, there is no such noise.I have 1000 miles on it.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a throw out bearing going out, here is a guide to help you see how it works so you know what I am talking about with diagrams below to help you do the job.

This video walks you through a throw out bearing replacement on a different car but the process is the same

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

I have a 2007 wrangler, 3.8 ltr, 6 speed transmission. After the engine has warmed up, i have a "chirping, whistling sound" emitting from the clutch, transmission area. It happens in all gears, including neutral. If you lightly press the clutch(1/2 inch - 1 inch) the sound disappears. But as soon as the clutch is released, it comes back. It doesnt seem to get loud or quiet based on engine speed. It just appears after about 20 minutes of driving and then doesnt go away until the jeep is cold again. Any ideas?

Have your dealer check TSB #06-002-07.
It is in reference to noise due to incorrect pre-load on the throw out bearing.
