Drove the car 45 minutes. Turned it off. 20 minutes later, tried to start the car, it would not start until I pumped the gas twice while it was turning over. Drove it 45 minutes back home, it ran sluggish when trying to accelerate (sound bogged out) and the tachometer was "not" working from the time I started it until I got home). Got it home, let it sit for about 15 minutes. Started it back up and it ran okay, the tachometer is working. This has happened twice in about two weeks apart (100 miles, 6 trips). Same process and it works again. I did not notice any strong smell coming out of the car. There are no dash warning lights on during or after the issue.

This can be an ignition coil or spark plug starting to go out for the #1 cylinder so I would change that out, but we should run the codes even though there is no check engine light on. This guide can help, and I have included how to change the coil out as well in case you need it.

If the coil does not change the problem and there are no codes, the PCM might be starting to go out so I would remove it and send it in for testing. The diagram show all 4 so you should change the first coil at the front of the engine. If the spark plugs are worn, I would install a new set.

Here is a generic guide to help you step by step with instructions in the diagrams below to show you how on your car:

I replaced the spark plugs because they were burnt looking. No help with the above issue but the gas mileage and power increased.
I replaced the Crankshaft Position Sensor. Issue resolved.
Thank you for your help.

Nice work, can I ask if it had code for it? Glad you could get it fixed, thanks for letting us know.

I do not remember what the code was, sorry, but it finally gave one for the Crankshaft Position Sensor after the issue happening 10+ times without a code or check engine light.
Again, thank you for your help.

Yep, most of the time when the crankshaft sensor goes out it will not leave a code behind. Thanks for letting us know.
