Driver side blows cold while the passenger side and rear blow hot. My blend door looks to be actuating normally. Another thing I noticed, the driver side does blow hot sometimes and then I recharge the A/C line then it's back to normal for a few days. Then it's repeats. Not sure if it's related.

Good afternoon,

The first thing you need to do is have the Freon system checked. You have a leak and that may be the entire issue.

You need to add dye to the system and use a bright LED light to locate the leak. Once it is determined, repairs need to be done and then the system is evacuated and charged to the proper level.

This is where you start.

Thanks Roy. Sorry, I should have given this detail originally. The last recharge I did was R134a with dye. Ran the UV light at night on all the lines, fittings compressor, and condenser. I can't easily get to the rear or front evaporator coil to check tho. Didn't see anything. Of course I could have missed something.

Yes, you did. Freon does not just go away. It leaks out and that leak needs to be found and repaired.

How much Freon did you add?

If "Freon does not go away" why does how much I added have anything to do with it? Do you want me to weigh the can before and after next time?

The system requires an exact amount in order to work correctly. When it gets low it comes from a leak.

You need to recover all the Freon, evacuate the system for 45 minutes and add the exact amount required for the system. Then you test the pressure to see if the system is working correctly.
