Hi there.

My car is still overheating, after replacing the thermostat and housing, water pump, a blocked water pipe, radiator has been flushed, and there are no signs of water and oil mixing. Took the car for a coolant pressure test, and according to them it came back "inconclusive". It's a 2014 1.4 petrol Ford Figo Ambient with 162 000km's on the odo.

When the engine is hot can you hear the cooling fans come on? Also are there any obstructions in front of the radiator like a plastic bag? I would use a garden hose to help blow out the outside cooling fins of the radiator. Also, here is a guide that can help and I would check for a blown head gasket:

Please go over these guides and get back to us.

Hi there.
Thank you.
The head gasket was tested with the dye, and the dye turned slightly lighter, but stayed purple.
Furthermore, there was a small waterpipe at the back of the engine leading into the car (apologies for not knowing the correct terminology) that was blocked.
The car is in a running condition at the moment, but I fear the head gasket might fail completely any time soon.

It does sound like the head gasket is leaking slightly, also the test is about 75% accurate.

I do believe you are correct, as stated before we managed to get the car in running condition after clearing and replacing the pipe, so my next step is to save up so I can have the gasket replaced. Unfortunately, that's not something I can do on my own.
