2013 Ford Edge illuminated door sill plates

is the wire violet /gray or gray violet it can make a difference also does it say what circuit it is? be a lot easier for us if you know the circuit

Gray wire with a violet tracer but that color wire isn't there, and I believe I'm tieing in to the dome lights

I did find the wire but it goes to the brake switch on master cylinder. it runs off the body control module on lh kick panel. see pic

I believe the wire I'm looking for goes to the dome light I need the one that power the light when the door opens and turns it off when the door is closed, the instructions said a gray/violet wire under the trim molding on the driver side a-pillar after removing that piece and checking the wires there is no wire with that color I thinking ford change the color code, the instructions I have were printed in 2010

this is the wire that comes off the body control module that powers up cargo light and almost all interior lights. it is gray/violet this is the one you want. remove the kick panel and you should see it running off of the body module. when you tap into it just make sure if you cut the wire to solder it back together with shrink tubing or however ford tells you to do it in the instructions. this is a 2013 wiring harness diagram.

I need to know what color wire goes to the dome light cause the light in the door sill have to work with the dome light when the doors open and close the light have to go on and off do you have the wiring diagram for the wire harness that runs up the drive side a-pillar

unfortunately you must not understand the last reply, that wire that is pointed out in the pic will turn on the sill light when you open the door it powers up ALL the interior lights I have no further suggestions.
