Can the lower ball joint on the car listed above be swapped out, or does the entire lower control arm assembly need to be replaced?

My Haynes Repair Manual (Hyundai Elantra 1996-2013) claims 2011 and later models cannot have their ball joints serviced. According to the manual, they must be replaced as part of the lower control arm assembly.

Asking for a second opinion to ensure the Haynes Manual is accurate.

Good morning,

The lower arm and ball joint are an assembly. I posted a picture for you of the new part. For $44.00, it is well worth it. There is no pressing involved and an easy replacement of the arm.
