What is the normal operating temperature of the exhaust at the discharge manifold? Can you answer this question for a typical eight cylinder car engine and a diesel for an eighteen wheeler?

don't know about a diesel but would think it would be in the same range. most of the time a car engine is about 1200-400 degrees and when pulling a trailer and or a heavy load jumps to the 1600 -1800 range.
