I can't seem to locate the temperature sensor, have you ever worked on one? I Have checked top and bottom of thermostadt housing

It should be on the housing. Take a look at the pic attached. I found it online. The sensor is number 9.

This is where I thought it would be but if you take a look at the picture attached its a different housing, I have also just realised I sent you the wrong car details! Please find attached the correct details,

I'm with you. That is where I thought it would be. Check all around the housing and in the engine block. Also, check in the radiator tanks.
