4x4 switch change

The 4x4swicth in my car has broken down I had a new one but they gave me the whole switch as one unit I need to remove the old one and install the new one is there any steps required before that or it only remove and install. Thanks

see pics for removal to get to switch. all nuts are metric. if not correct section of dash re ask and i'l give one behind steering wheel Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
