Hi,

I recently changed two tires of my Kia . The originals were Kumho 225/60R17 Since this size was not available I used two 225/65R17 of the same brand. So now I have one set of 225/60R17 at the back and one set 225/65R17 at the front. Does this going to create problems with either transmission box or differential ?

Thanks for your help on this,

Best regards,

Jayas

Hi Troy,

Thanks for the quick response. However I read in the below article that it affects. Please see .

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=18

I am at a difficult situation as the 225/65R17 is out of stock now and the agent does not tell when the next shipment arrive. By the way I am in Sri Lanka.

I appreciate your comment.

Thanks & regards,

Jayas

that article is mostly about tread depth and not much else. your tires are closely matched. so there shouldn't be aproblem unless you decide to run 100mph through sand and mud which I kind of doubt. don't worry about it.

Hi Troy,

Thanks for the quick response. Much relieved. No I do only day to day running max speed of 100km/hr on the highway once in a couple of days.

Appreciate you taking the time.

Thanks again & best regards,
