2011 Hyundai Sonata bolt in engine wont catch

I removed the starter from my sonata, and mistakenly removed the wrong bolt at first. It is about 3 inches from the bolt for the starter that is accessed from the top of the engine. Now, the bolt will not catch anything when I put it back in the hole, there does not seem to be any threads or anything there; the bolt just slides all the way in.

Any ideas why it won't thread in? Should I worry about it?
