Hello,
I have seen this problem before the micro switch inside the latch breaks and needs to be replaced here are diagrams to fix the problem. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

I had this problem and had to replace the latch cost me $98.00 FYI
