Took Cruze to dealer for recall to modify lower engine shield (12081). Had routine maintenance done at the same time. When I arrived home I looked at the maintenance record they gave me and it showed a leaking rf outer cv axel boot. The interesting thing is it was originally marked as ok but crossed out and changed to "requires immediate attention". Also, nothing was ever mentioned verbally to me when I paid the bill and left. I'm wondering if the damaged cv boot could have occurred when the recall work was being done? I am not familiar with the mechanics so I don't have any idea if this could even be a remote possibility.
