Electrical problem

That's one of the tricks GM built into their cars. You need to use a memory saver device to prevent some of the computers from locking up when the battery is disconnected. The dealer can unlock them. In the future do not disconnect the battery. Try removing fuses 17 and 23 for a few minutes, sometimes this will reset the body computer

I hooked up my battery charger to the car before I removed the battery. I did not want to reprogram the radio stations.

I found a post on the internet last night from a guy who said he had an air condition problem in his. He removed the fuse from #17 under the dash for 10 seconds, put it back in and it fixed his issue. I tried that this morning and it worked.

Dandy. I'm very happy to hear it was so simple. I use a small battery charger too for the same reason, but you must understand they put out rectified AC meaning the actual voltage goes down to 0 volts, then up to about 19 volts 120 times per second. Computers have capacitors that will filter that pulsing voltage and smooth it a lot but I still wonder about how that can confuse them.

AC generators are three-phase so the output voltage never gets close to 0 volts, plus the battery is the key component is smoothing out that "ripple" voltage.

I'm going to add fuse 17 to my list of notes. Pulling it is easier than going to the dealer. Thank you for sharing the fix.

I just had the same problem with my 2012 Chevrolet Orlando and followed these instructions and remove the number 17 fuse for a few mins and it now work as it should; Thank you!
