My 2011 Chevy Aveo has alot of symptoms of a problem

Ok i already am aware of the lemon law and i already have a lawyer but my dealership doesnt give a heck to go further to find the problem.

I bought it back in Dec. of lasy year and i already been to their repair shop over 10 times for the same problem,

When i go out and drive my aveo it seems like the timing isnt correct or their is something else wrong, when i accelerate it jumps in gears with high rpms but the speedonometer (if thats how you spell it) goes up slow. And i decided to take it to another delaership and the present severe prblem they found was a faulty oil cap that was leaking air in and oil out, which i got a oil change at their dealership not to long ago, i have resaerched it and some people say its the carboraetor , others a PCV but im pretty sure its not regulated by the ECM or it should have shown a code by now, sometimes when i idle the rpms go up and down, and now it is starting to barely sputter. It also likes to skip gears , surging from a stop. i will answer any questions, i also put prenium fuel in it to see if the power will go up because it laggs as well. Its a automatic.

oh yeah i forgot to add that when those problems in the acceleration happen , that my Catalytic converter stinks like a*s ?

Okay... The smell from the converter leads me to a couple ideas. First, it could be plugged causing a lack of power and poor driveability. However, it could also be the result of a rich fuel mixture. THe next time it happens, check to see if the converter is glowing red hot. IF it is, have it replaced under warranty. Next, the idle going up and down indicates a problem with the idle air control valve. It is responsible for maintaining the idle based on input from the computer. Final, if the check engine light is on and it is safe to drive, take it to a parts store that will scan the computer for free. Have them write down the trouble codes that are retreived so I can look at them.

I wanted to add, your car does not have a carburator. It is fuel injected. And, air into the crankcase from an slight leak from an oil cap will not cause these problems.

it doesnt have any check engine lights on , but from what my case claimed that the dealership is just too lazy to look into the problem futher, but i will see about taking it to a different place so i can have them check the suggestion, i had the catalytic converter checked and they didnt find anything wrong with it. but i will see if it turns red, would their be anything bad going on if the fuel mix was running rich? thx

Not with the fuel... Fuel mixture is determined by the computer based on input from different sensor, temp sensor, O2 sensors, MAF... I would try contacting GM and demanding they take care of the issue before it causes an accident and someone is hurt. That should get them moving.
