Hi,

Our car has been sitting in my sister's garage for a year. She may have started it up once. Other than that the battery has been disconnected. She lives in the San Francisco area where the temps rarely go below 40 degrees. Do I need to take any precautions when I start it up and drive first time.
Thanks,
Lincoln

Drive it like normal but put some fresh gas in it as soon as possible. Don't allow the engine to idle excessively at first. Some parts are lubricated with oil that flings off rotating parts. Those parts could be dry now and you'll want to get oil on them right away. That is done best by just driving like normal. At idle that oil doesn't get sprayed around as well.

Thanks, that sounds easy enough. I was concerned that I would have to something that required time or money.
