We have a 2010 Toyota Corolla with 25,000 miles on it. Within the last two weeks we noticed that we can't fill the tank at a gas station without the pump clicking off. This has happened at four different stations. It takes about ten minutes to put in 5 gallons with the filler nozzle trigger clicking off about every 3 seconds and then having to take it out and start over. And all of the stations have the elephant snout vapor recovery systems on the pumps. It seems like there must be some kind of a clog or blockage in the fuel tank vent system somewhere but where? Is this a common problem with this particular type of car. It just doesn't seem like a problem like this should be going on at this low mileage. Thanks in advance.

i would have to say that you either have a damaged filler neck or the evap cannister filter is clogged.do yo drive it of road very much?,like dirty dusty conditions?has the car been in a rear end collission that you know of?

The car has never been on anything but paved roads and has never been in any rear collisions.

Took it to the dealer this morning and according to them it's a stuck flapper valve inside the fuel tank. They are going to replace the entire fuel tank under warranty at no charge. I have to wonder if this hasn't shown up on other Corollas since there are so few miles on the car.

Thanks for your help.
