We dropped the glove box. There was no filter cover much less a filter. We have had a bad odor for a long time. Is it possible the 2010 model has the in cabin filter somewhere besides behind the glove box?

Hello,

Yes it does have an in cabin air filter. It is located behind the glove box, in back of the right hand side console finisher. I have included an exploded view of your vehicle's instrument panel/console as well as step by step instructions from your vehicle's manufacturer on In cabin air filter removal and installation in the diagrams below. Please let us know how it turns out and if there is anything else that we can help you with.

Thanks,
Alex

I don't want to pay $100+ to have a shop change my cabin air filter. Where (website) can I find a step-by-step instruction or diagrams showing how to do it myself?
Thanks.

Your car does not have a cabin filter you are seeing the mesh that protects the evaporator.

hmm, none of my sources have anything about a cabin filter for 2001, only 2002 - 2004. Obviously from your pics I can tell there is indeed a filter there. The box will need to be taken apart for sure to get to the filter though.

I am not sure what you mean by A/C filter. Your A/C system does not have a filter; it has a receiver/drier that acts as a filtering agent to collect contaminants from the system. If this is what you mean, you have to have a shop to do it as the system needs to be evacuated properly. All the refrigerant has to be contained before the drier (located between the battery and radiator) can be removed. Once installed, the system has be re-evacuated before refrigerant can enter the system.

Let us know if this is what you need. If not, please re-phrase your question.
