I was driving my Ford near my house when all of a sudden the wrench light came on the dashboard. All of a sudden the car lost almost all power. I turned the car off and on again. It seemed to crank for a slightly extra long time. Then the car drove normally and I parked it on the street so that I would be able to get my other (working) car out tomorrow. Of course I can't do anything about it tomorrow since it is Sunday. I plan to take it in for service on Monday morning. I have 2 questions. #1 what could be wrong? #2 I think it is a good idea even if the car is running fine, to have AAA tow it in since it could fail while I am driving. If they cannot duplicate the problem at the dealership will they be able to do anything based on codes that might have been recorded in the car or based on the problem that I described? What do you think of all of this?

it can be a couple of things wrong but they will have to scan for codes and shold check the fuel pressure with a gauge. it may be low but scanning will also tell them what area to check. and yes it's better to tow because you don't know how long it will run.
