lift gate will not lower using buttons

70,000 MILES • 3.5L • 6 CYL • AWD • AUTOMATIC

Rear lift gate will raise automatically using buttons and key fob but it will not lower using the same controls. I have reset the power lift gate several times using the driver information center (DCI). The car has 70,000 miles and no other mechanical problems. Original battery.
What should I try to fix this problem?

Hello,

It sounds like you have a switch going out or it could be the controller. Here is a wiring diagram (BELOW) and a guide so you can do some checking.
