Just had an oil change, and a unusual smell comes from the tailpipe and tailpipe a hole lot of smoke, and I put my fingers inside the end and felt around then pulled my fingers out and saw what looked to be oil. Can this be a problem. Was something done wrong.

what color was the smoke??

white is coolant

blue is oil

white is burning coolant

My 2010 traverse is in the shop now having pistons and rings replaced due to oil consumption.... Was using 1 1/2 quarts every 1100 miles.... Gm will not eeplave engine until we try this... Check your oil regularly i have been told that they have had to replace engins in 2010 equinoxes for the same issue

My issue started around 60,000 miles and now has 65,000 til i went through all the procedures for gm to see the amount it was using
