tail light assemblies

Would you happen to know what the difference is between 1st and 2nd design tail light assemblies for this truck?

The truck is LS ext. cab 4x4 if it matters.

I damaged the driver side tail light and was trying to order one online and I have to pick first or second design when ordering the part, they look the same to me.

The answer is that the reverse bulb on one is a small bulb (921) and the reverse bulb on the other is a large bulb (3047). I'm having trouble finding out which is which also. Here is a diagrams of the lens and it does not say anything about design changes.
