Need to figure out how to change out the ignition switch. I figured this is my problem since I already changed the starter the solenoid the battery and all the fuses are good. When I turn my key over everything lights up I have power to everything but when I turn it to start the car everything shuts off and nothing happens (car doesn't start and no noise). The car doesn't start so I bought a ignition switch to put in but have no idea how to do it.

Good evening,

I attached pictures and the procedure for you.

You need to remove the clam shell which is the cover of the column. It has a couple screws to remove and the switch will be right there. Remove the wire connector and the 2 screws holding it and out it comes.

Thanks your info was great! I changed it out but car still doesn't start. Same issue. Turn key... car accessories power on and everything works. Then turn key to start car and everything shuts off. The car doesn't turn over or do anything for that matter. No noises or anything. I notice her car says stabilatrack needs maintenance or something along those lines but there are no other dummy lights on besides that warning. I'm out of ideas why it won't start. So far I changed the starter, the ignition switch, and battery. I hate electrical stuff. I even swapped fuses around in fuse box to see if one was bad and still nothing.

Okay. first, I would start with battery voltage. What is the battery voltage when you open the hood? Let us make sure you have enough for it to run the starter.

I would also clean the battery cables real well both inside and outside.

Do you have a test light or voltmeter to do some tests?

I attached the fuse box with the location of the starter relay. It is marked K61. We will be doing some testing there.

Wow, you're amazing. I need a volt meter I will buy one. Any recommendations on brand or style price isn't an issue as long as I'm not spending $500.00 on it?

You can get a cheap one at a parts store or Harbor Freight for about $20.00.
