2010 BMW 328xi service engine cylinder 6 misfire

everytime i drive in regular mode and hit 50mph cylander 6 misfire code pops up.i turn car off and restart and its now gone.i can do 100mph in sports mode with no light on.the minute i put it in regular the service engine pops up.also the car always smells like something is burning but no leaks

When the light comes on, do you feel the engine misfire? Does the burning smell seem like plastic, electrical...?

yes that is exactly what happens.it smells like burnt rubber .no check engine or misfire in sportmode...but the minute its in regular drive the code pops up cylander 6 misfire and chck engine

Have you done any repairs yet related to the ignition system? It could be a coil or an issue with the PCM (power control module).
