2009 Toyota Other Engine Noise

The head cylinder was overhauled, skimmed etc, but the engine now has a knocking sound. Its not a bearing knock, but the sound is almost similar to a bearing knock. If you start the car, leave it idling on neutral, you wont hear the sound, but when you push the accelerator and rev the car, you then hear the noise. The car can drive, has power, but the noise is too irritating. Could this be the camshaft followers that needs to be replaced? I am in South Africa and we call this car a Toyota Quantum Sesfilkile, 2009 model

I am not familiar with this version, can you advise which engine is fitted I.E engine code.

The car can drive, has power, but the noise is too irritating. TODAY, I replaced all 16 camshaft lifters, purchased from direct Toyota, but the noise is still there. I am in South Africa and we call this car a Toyota Quantum Sesfilkile, 2009 model.
The Engine is a 2.7 VVTI - Engine 2TR

I would recommend that you check the oil pressure at idle with a mechanical gauge, do this cold and hot and also hot at 1500rpm, please post the results for evaluation.

Use a mechanical type oil pressure gauge that you screw into the oil pressure switch thread
