Why can't I set my favorite radio station on my 2009 Saturn VUE?

I just got a 2009 Saturn VUE yesterday and it was used so there are already 6 favorite stations preset, I'm trying to set my own and I followed the directions on the manual that said to turn it to your favorite station, press the "FAV" button, then press one of the numbers until there's a beeping sound, but I press it for a really long time (until it goes back to the regular menu) and there's no beeping sound! Any suggestions?

Try selecting the station you want and just press the preset button (holding it for a few seconds) to see if that helps.
