does any one know what kind of watts the stock 6 disk changer will put out? kinda curious on this to see whether, i want to keep it stock or not , any websites or aftermarket suggestions would also be helpfull. thank you

Stock radios usually dont put out a lot of watts unless its a stock high end bose system or something like that. I like kenwood and jvc for bang for the buck.

if you have the monsoon system its 200 watts. the stock system is enough less that I cant find where, if anywhere, the information is printed. if it sounds bad replace it. doesn't sound like youll be downgrading

yea thats wat i was thinking to you think its something close to 100 bc i believe wen the car was bought we got it with a premium sound system and wen i replaced the speakers they were paper im not sure if you checked the reply on our last post me and u were talking about but the reason y i am curious is because of the changer parked issue that i cant find any information on

Looks like that radio is pretty integrated into the car I see the oil life reset on the radio display. Thats what I would worry about plus iam sure the can network runs thru the radio as well.

update me on the CAN network please still not that familiar with it and if its wat i think your talking about that will tell me svc tire mon svc airbag mon ect

i do not have a monsoon stereo setup if i were to upgrade to that what would i need im assuming you have one

The can is controlled area network that's what links all the many computers together the newer radios are part of it.I dont have a monsoon radio. Knowledge is power is the one that mentioned the radio I know some the newer radios on the gm cars you had to go into the computer with tech2 scan tool to tell them there was a different radio and which one.
