My car over heating

So did he replace the fan motor because there was power and ground to the motor and it was inop?Or was that just a wild guess?What gasket is he talking about replacing?Also why does he think the gasket is bad?Does the radiator fan motor work now?Does both upper and lower radiator hoses get really hot?

Yes fan works fine,but still over heating the hoses it get hot, and now get noises like doooo!!!!
So I'm confuse about the situation

They said may need to replace the head gaskets

Thats easy to check with a chemical tester you can rent those for free from auto zone you just have to buy the fluid for it.

How the chemical test works?

You rent the tester by the chemical run the car with the tester sitting in the radaitor where the cap goes with the chemical in the tester.If it turns a certain color you have exhaust gases in the cooling system.

So,what about the noises make by the car dodo doooo?

How can I know without chemical test,that the head gaskets is bad?

I dont know what a dodo dooo noise is i cant hear it and dont know where on the car its coming from.Also a chemical test is the best way to verify that you have a bad head gasket cracked head etc.So if it were mine i would use the chemical test to see if there were exhaust gasses in the coolant.

Engine Cooling problem
2005 Nissan Murano 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 53K miles

I have a 2005 Nissan murano that started overheating when we were driving through Texas. We had it towed to the nearest Nissan dealer and they told us that it was the radiator cap. So, they changed it and the next day we started driving again and it did the same thing. Anyways we have gone to 3 Nissan dealership and a local mechanic and they seem to not be able to fix my car. Basically they’ve changed the thermostat changed unnecessarily things and the problem still persist. I drive about 65-80 miles with ac on at about 71 and up degrees and the car starts overheating. When I stop and turn the car off I can hear bubbles sound under the hood and all the coolant comes up. Please help……………..We have spent about $1500 on this car and all these darn mechanic don’t know whats wrong with the car well they say they fix the problem but, once we get the car back it does it again.

make sure that the A/C condenser fan is turning on, have the radiator cleaned & flow tested, make sure that there is no build up of debris between the radiator and the condenser blocking air flow, check foe any external coolant leaks, start here.

It overheated. can I start it and drive it home?

It is never a good idea to drive a vehicle that overheats. Maybe, if you know what is causing it to overheat, you can drive it a short distance. Maybe. But I would not even suggest that. I would suggest diagnosing the problem before you turn a simple problem (maybe a bad $10.00 thermostat) into a big problem, like a blown cylinder head gasket that could cost you over $500.00 to fix.

First thing's first; when the engine is cold, check the coolant level. If the coolant level is low, then borrow a cooling system pressure tester from your local AutoZone, Advance Auto, or O'Reilly Auto Parts store. Hook up said pressure tester and pump it up to see where the leak is.

Do not pump it to more than 23psi, as that could cause more problems. 14 psi should do it, really.

my 2009 Nissan Murano has been running hot when when I see you at the red light it runs hot faster than if I start driving it
