2009 mazda6 remote stopped working. Changed battery and tried to resinc the remote with the mazda instructions. One section says to operate door lock with drivers door open but this can not be done with door open.

you'll hav eto take it to a dealer where it can be put on ascanner and see if bcm is bad or no power to bcm among other things. check the three fuses underhood before you go though they are pointed out in pic.
