Good afternoon

Just to start of I would like to mention that I stay in South Africa and I hope that you would be able to assist me.

About two days ago my clutch started making a noise. The noise only starts when I step onto/press in the clutch. When the clutch pedal is released/depressed/out the noise goes away.

Please tell me what the problem might be and what can be done to solve the problem?

Is this damaging my clutch?

The sound it makes is almost like a grinding or chafing sound. Almost sounds like something is chafing against each other but like I said, as soon as I release the clutch the noise stops.

I would start by having the throw out bearing checked.
